Welcome to the SimplyParcel.com website (the "Website"). The website is owned and operated by SimplyParcel. The following terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of our website and services. Please read these Terms carefully before using our website or services. By using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

SimplyParcel will review the terms every quarter and may update or modify the terms by posting a revised terms on the website. No notification will be sent to you. You may check the revised terms at any time by visiting this page. By submitting an order through the website, you agree to and acknowledge the carrier (refer to the third-party shipping company SimplyParcel used to provide the shipping services) terms and conditions as well.

USE OF WEBSITE

As a condition of your use of the website, you warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age;
  • You possess the legal authority to create a binding legal obligation;
  • You will use the website in accordance with the terms;
  • You will only use the website to make legitimate reservations of services for you or the other person you are on behalf of
  • You will inform such other persons about the terms that apply to the services you have made on their behalf, including all rules and restrictions applicable thereto;
  • All information provided by you on website is true, accurate, current and complete;
  • If you opened an account with SimplyParcel, you will safeguard your account information and will supervise and be completely responsible for any use of your account by you and anyone other than you.
  • You agree to comply with all applicable laws, statues, ordinances and regulations regarding use of SimplyParcel services.

SimplyParcel retain the right at our sole discretion to deny access to anyone to the website and the services at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, violation of the terms.

SERVICES OVERVIEW

SimplyParcel provides a web platform to quote, arrange, and facilitate the shipment of luggage, boxes, and sports equipment (the packages). You select the carrier for your shipping order and acknowledge that SimplyParcel will use the carrier to transport your packages.

You acknowledge that the other third parties (refer to person or organization) at the pickup or delivery address of your order may be responsible for handing over or accepting your packages on behalf of you. SimplyParcel or the carrier reserves the right to refuse, cancel, return, or hold any shipment if the shipment does not comply with the terms, is undeliverable, may contain possible dangerous, illegal, or prohibited items, or is not properly packed.

You acknowledge that you ship your packages through the service at your own risk. If your packages are damaged or lost during the shipment or are not delivered within a timely manner due to a failure of SimplyParcel or the carrier, you may timely and properly request SimplyParcel 's assistance with submitting any claims to the carrier.

SimplyParcel and/or the carrier may conduct a reasonable investigation into your claim, but in no event is SimplyParcel required or obligated to investigate any claims pertaining to lost, damaged or delayed shipment.

You acknowledge and agree that your request for assistance from SimplyParcel, and/or any reasonable investigation into your claim, does not entitle you to compensation or damages from SimplyParcel, or any action or recourse by SimplyParcel, and that a commercially reasonable investigation is your sole and exclusive remedy.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

SimplyParcel will accept packages for shipping subject to the following conditions:

a) packages must be properly packed and labelled in accordance with our instructions;
b) packages must not contain any prohibited items (see Prohibited Product below);
c) packages must be accompanied by complete and accurate shipping information;
d) packages must be tendered to us for shipment within the timeframes set out in our website or otherwise communicated to you.

SimplyParcel provides shipping services through our website to customers who wish to send packages internationally via shipping carriers. We are not affiliated with shipping carriers in any way and do not provide any services other than the shipment of packages via the shipping carriers.

PROHIBITED PRODUCTS

Certain items cannot be shipped via our services. These items include, but are not limited to, hazardous materials, firearms, live animals, and perishable goods. We reserve the right to refuse to ship any package that contains prohibited items.

  • Animals, Animal products and human remains;
  • Aerosols or any other pressurized containers;
  • Alcohol, or any goods containing alcohol included perfume
  • Bullion, currency, or other forms of tradeable currency; Credit cards;
  • Batteries (included with personal device)
  • drugs, including all illegal narcotics, all drugs prohibited by any jurisdiction through which your package will or may travel, as well as prescription drugs; medical samples.
  • Firearms and firearm parts, ammunition, explosives, weapons (including imitations of same);
  • Flowers and plant products;
  • Perishable food articles and beverages
  • Hazardous materials, including, without limitation, hazardous or corrosive materials, explosives, flammable or combustible materials, infectious substances, poisons, dry ice, fireworks, or radioactive materials; and hazardous waste.   • Pornography;
  • Tobacco
  • Valuables, high value or irreplaceable items including but not limited to antiques, paintings, jewellery, precious stones;
  • Stamps (unless franked)
  • lottery tickets or gambling devices in violation of the laws of any jurisdiction through which your package will or may travel
  • Other Dangerous / hazardous goods, including, without limitation, hazardous or corrosive materials, explosives, flammable or combustible materials, infectious substances, poisons, dry ice, fireworks, or radioactive materials;
  • Other illegal or restricted goods defined by any shipping partner, or any local, state, federal, international law and regulation.
  • Driving licence / birth cert / identification card / passport / debit card / credit card

You agree not to ship packages that are wet, leaking, or emit an odour of any kind. SimplyParcel retains the right to update the prohibited item list any time to comply with related law or regulation. SimplyParcel and the carrier company reserve the right to open and inspect any item shipped by you.

For international shipment, there may be additional prohibited items specified by the country of origin and/or destination. The carrier may at its sole discretion refuse to carry other items not listed here. It is your responsibility to check the local customs law and regulation before shipping.

RATES AND RATE ADJUSTMENT

You understand all rates quoted on the website, or by a SimplyParcel’s representative, are in SGD dollars. By placing an order with SimplyParcel, you agree to pay for the order in SGD dollars. Rates generated on the website, or by SimplyParcel’s representative, are based upon the information provided by you at the time of inquiry.

PAYMENT OF FEES

You agree to pay all fees associated with our services, including shipping fees, handling fees, and any other applicable fees. All fees are payable in advance of shipment, and we will not ship any package until all fees have been paid in full.

FEE DISPUTES RESOLUTION

In the event of a discrepancy in fees charged for our services, we reserve the right to adjust the fees to reflect the correct amount.

SURCHARGES

The shipping carrier may charge to Simply Parcel the surcharges incurred for your shipment, including but not limited to parcel dimensions, total weight, packaging, Saturday pickup & delivery, out of delivery area, residential delivery (US & Canada only), advancement fee, and address correction. While some of the surcharges incurred during checkout which you will be informed during payment, some surcharged incurred during transit with is beyond the control of SimplyParcel. You agree to be liable and make prompt payment to SimplyParcel for the additional fees incurred once SimplyParcel informs you of the surcharge fees.

ADDRESS CORRECTION

For any incomplete or incorrect address on an Airway Bill or Label, the shipping carrier will attempt to find the correct address and complete the deliver. Shipping carrier will charge an address correction surcharge.

In the event the sender or the recipients request to change the delivery address, an address correction surcharge will be incurred. You agree to be liable and make prompt payment to SimplyParcel for the additional fees incurred once SimplyParcel informs you of the surcharge fees.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND

Cancellation of booking is not allowed after payment is completed.

Your balance amount credited/topup to your SimplyParcel account is not refundable and shall remain valid only for one (1) year from the last top-up payment date ("Active Period"). You will be notified of the expiration of the Active Period If there is no new top-up of within the Active Period, all unutilised balances will expire at the end of the Active Period. No refund shall be due to you for expired or unused balance.

DELIVERY TIME

The delivery time generated on the website, or by SimplyParcel’s representative, is based on the shipping date and services you selected. The actual delivery date will be based on the actual date the shipment is picked up by the carrier from the pickup address or the drop-off location.

The delivery time we offered is an estimated time and is not guaranteed. You acknowledge that SimplyParcel will not be responsible for any direct or indirect losses, or personal or business losses, caused by the delayed shipment.

While SimplyParcel make every effort to ensure the on-time delivery of International Shipments, you acknowledge that there is no delivery time guaranteed for the shipping services. Packages may be delivered before or after the estimated delivery date.

PACKING AND LABELING

It is your responsibility to select a sturdy and strong case or box, pack well and protect your items. You acknowledge that SimplyParcel will not be responsible for any damaged or lost shipment due to improper packing.

You should ensure the parcels are packed well enough to be transported safely across long distances, potentially being passed through a range of vehicles and warehouses.

  • Use a sturdy, heavy-duty double wall cardboard box to prevent any damage to the goods inside.
  • Wrapped the items separately with bubble wrap. Fill out any spaces in the box with polystyrene chips.
  • Seal any openings of the box with layers of tape to ensure the box does not open.
  • If you're re-using a cardboard box, ensure that ALL the old stickers and labels have been removed, particularly stickers relating to hazardous materials. Packages marked with hazmat stickers may be returned or destroyed.

You agree not to overpack and exceed the package maximum size and maximum weight of the order (see table below). You agree to be liable and pay for the weight and/or size difference and related surcharges if the package exceeds the size and weight limit once SimplyParcel informs you of the surcharge fees.

It is your responsibility not to lock your packages for international shipment. You understand that customs or carrier may return the locked package if they are unable to open it for a regular customs screening. SimplyParcel is not responsible for any shipment loss or delay because of the locked package.

It is your responsibility to follow the shipping instructions and correctly attach the shipping labels to the package. SimplyParcel is not responsible for any lost or delayed shipment due to improper labelling.

Shipping labels must always be applied on the outside of the package. We suggest inserting a second copy of the label inside the box, so in case the external copy comes off by accident, the carrier will still be able to deliver the goods.

  • Print the label a normal sheet of paper and apply it to the package with adhesive tape.
  • Make sure you use a strong, transparent adhesive tape that does not cover the data on the label and the barcodes on the waybill.
  • You can also write additional information on the box with a pen, such as the recipient's phone number, but remember to always affix the shipping label to your parcel shipment.

The shipping label can only be used for the respective package(s) you ordered, and the package(s) should be picked up at the location you requested in the order. SimplyParcel is not responsible for any delay, return, loss, damage, customs or carrier shipment abandon if the label is used on more package(s), or package(s) shipped from different locations or at different times. SimplyParcel keeps the right to charge you all additional costs billed from the carrier.

It is your responsibility to take photos of the parcels and items before shipment and prepare the packing list before you hand the luggage/box/bag to the carrier. You understand your lost or damage claim will not be accepted by the carrier if you do not have the picture before the shipment. SimplyParcel will not be responsible for any rejected claim because of lack of picture evidence. (Refer to Terms & Conditions - Lost/Damaged Claim Process)

PICK UP

It is your responsibility to provide the correct pickup address and instructions and make sure all packages are correctly labelled and packaged before the scheduled pickup date and time. You understand that the carrier will not call before the pickup. It is your responsibility to hand the shipment to the carrier or to make sure the carrier has easy access to the shipment.

SimplyParcel is not responsible for missed pickups because of the wrong pickup address, package cannot be found, or package is not ready. You understand that the pickup timeframe is not guaranteed. Carrier may go earlier or later the pickup date due to road conditions and/or other reasons.

You understand that the carrier may not confirm the pickup due to weather, traffic, or service area factors. SimplyParcel is not responsible for any unsuccessful pick up caused by carrier’s fault.

DELIVERY

It is your responsibility to provide the correct delivery address and instructions. SimplyParcel is not responsible for delayed, lost, or returned shipment because of the wrong or incomplete delivery address. You agree to have someone accept and sign for the package at the delivery address. SimplyParcel is not responsible for any lost or missing package after delivery.

Upon delivery, if the content is damaged or broken because of damaged or broken luggage/box/bag in transit, it is your responsibility to keep full evidence to assist SimplyParcel to file a claim with the carrier and/or Insurance company. The evidence includes, but not limited to:

  • damaged/broken package picture with attached label
  • damaged/broken item pictures
  • write “package received damaged or broken” when you sign for the package

If you selected “delivery without signature” when placing the order, you understand that you will not be able to file a claim once the shipment tracking shows delivered on carrier’s website.

Carrier may try a second delivery if the first delivery attempt was missed. It is your responsibility to have someone accept the shipment at the delivery address. Carrier may also hold the shipment at a nearby station for your collection if the first delivery attempt failed. You agree to show your photo ID to collect the shipment. SimplyParcel will not cover the additional cost incurred for the package hold and collection.

If you do not collect the shipment within the timeframe the carrier is able to hold, or the package is defined as an undeliverable package because of the wrong address, it will be returned by carrier. You agree to be responsible for the return cost and other additional costs associated to the return.

CUSTOM CLEARANCE

Every international shipment is subject to customs clearance. You acknowledge it is your responsibility to understand the local customs regulations and requirements to import and export your items. You are responsible for providing full and correct item information for SimplyParcel to create the customs invoice. It is also yours’s and your receiver’s responsibility to timely and actively cooperate with local customs and the carrier and provide all required documents and information for customs clearance.

SimplyParcel is not responsible for customs delay. If you and/or receiver do not comply with the local customs authorities, provide the necessary documents, and pay for duties and taxes, customs have the right to return, hold, or destroy the packages according to the destination country's law and regulation. You agree to take full responsibility for the loss or return cost and will not dispute the shipping services and shipping fees with SimplyParcel.

It is your responsibility not to ship restricted or prohibited items, and not to lock your packages. You understand that customs or carrier may return the locked package if they are not able to open it for a regular customs screening. SimplyParcel is not responsible for any shipment delay, hold, or return because of the restricted or prohibited items, and for any shipment loss or delay because of the locked package.

If the sender or receiver is on the carrier, government, or United Nations’ Denied Persons List, the carrier has the right to refuse, hold, or return the shipment. You agree that SimplyParcel is not responsible for the delay, return, or refusal of the shipment. You acknowledge to cover all related fees, including but not limited to original shipping fee, return fee, investigation fee, and so forth.

You understand that carrier has the right to deliver the package to a third-party broker for clearance per local customs regulation. You agree to cooperate with the carrier and the broker’s company for the clearance and pay for brokerage fee and any related fee if applied. SimplyParcel is not responsible for any customs delay, shipment returned or destroyed because you refused to cooperate with the broker and the carrier.

DUTIES & TAXES

You understand customs has the right to hold and open your package, inspect and re-value the items inside the package, and levy duties and taxes based on their assessment. You will need to provide a packing list with full breakdown of all the items in your package, including accurate values for each item and by providing correct contact details for the recipient. Providing incorrect or misleading customs information can result in additional costs, returned packages and delays. Once the value of your shipment exceeds the tax & duty threshold for the country you are shipping to, Most - if not all shipments will be taxed. This includes personal effect, gift shipments and returning shipments.

You acknowledge and agree to be fully responsible for the duties and taxes, and any other customs charges, such as brokerage fees, or customs warehouse fee if applied. The package will only be released for delivery after payment is made by you or the recipient. You may choose to have import charges prepaid by the sender (Delivered duty paid - DDP), or billed to your recipient (Delivering duties unpaid- DDU) after package has been shipped.

If import charges are not duly paid for by you or the recipient for whatsoever reasons, package will not be released for delivery. After deadline of payment, package will be returned to Singapore at your cost (Duties & Taxes of the destination, Return shipping charges, Duties & Taxes of Singapore, and administration fees). You agree to be liable and make prompt payment to SimplyParcel for the additional fees incurred once SimplyParcel informs you of the surcharge fees.

MISSING SHIPMENT

SimplyParcel will assist in monitoring your shipment and communicate with the carrier if the shipment tracking stops updating for more than 3 business days. If you suspect that your shipment is missing in transit, you can take the following steps to confirm:

  • Trace your package with the tracking number
  • If the status shows that package has been delivered, you can contact your recipient to check if the package was delivered to the wrong address or was left with a neighbour.

In the event that the carrier is not able to locate your package and certify it as “MISSING SHIPMENT”, SimplyParcel will file a lost claim with the carrier and/or insurer. The claimable amount depends on if you have bought insurance for your shipment. Lost package claim process may take 14 to 60 days to finalize. (Refer to Terms & Conditions – Lost/Damaged Claim Process)

It is your responsibility to monitor your shipment tracking and provide full and detailed package size, color, and content information so the carrier can search and try to find the missing package.

DAMAGED PACKAGE

Your parcel must be packed to a professional standard. Any claim resulting from a parcel that is not packaged to a professional standard will be rejected. We strongly advise you to pack the parcel with double-walled box and further padding surrounding the item.

Please see our recommended Packaging Guidelines on how to package your item correctly. Please be advised that you are solely responsible to ensure the parcel are properly and securely packed.

SimpleParcel and the appointed carrier owe you no duty to inspect or check the packaging and shall not be responsible or liable for any damage in relation to poor or improper packaging of the parcel.

Any item travelling through our Services must be able to withstand a short drop. Fragile items should not be sent through our Services. Any item that is damaged because of a fall, with the external packaging intact will therefore be declined. If the external or outer packaging is intact, then any claim for damage to the item(s) will be invalidated as the internal packaging would have been sufficient to protect the item.

EXCLUSION LIST

While SimpleParcel continues to source for new shipping coverage, there are countries/regions not under the shipping coverage of the shipping carriers. Find out more on the shipping carriers’ website.

ADDITIONAL PROTECTION COVERAGE

All deliveries come with basic protection coverage provided by the shipping carrier (see table below). You may opt for additional protection coverage for your shipment through Simply Parcel provided by the shipping carrier at the point of transact, or you may wish to secure an insurance coverage through 3rd party shipping insurance on your own. SimpleParcel‘s liability is not applicable to 3rd party shipping insurance purchased by you.

If you choose not to purchase addition protection coverage, you will not be eligible to file a claim in the event of loss or damage to your shipment. SimplyParcel is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss such as (but not limited to) loss of profit, loss of market or the consequences of delay or deviation however caused.

Please take note that the amount of compensation depends on the type and circumstances of the case upon a thorough investigation conducted by the shipping carier and/or Insurance company. If, upon inspection or investigation, the damage/loss was not caused by the carrier, neither the shipping carrier, nor SimplyParcel shall be under any liability to pay any compensation to you.

You understand that loss and/or damage under the following conditions will not be compensated and covered:

  • any occurrence that is not within SimplyParcel or the service provider’s reasonable control;
  • Act of God;
  • Consequences of war;
  • Insufficient, improper or incorrect packaging and/or labelling packaging. You understand that your items must be thoroughly packaged and must be able to fall approximately 38 inches without breaking;
  • Any item damaged or lost because of improper outer container (box, luggage, or bag) you used for the shipment. You understand that the outer container you select should be sturdy enough to hold and protect all items inside it. It should also be strong enough for other packages to be stacked on it in transit.
  • Cosmetic damage of the luggage/bag/box. Shipping carrier consider luggage/bag/box as packaging materials. It is your responsibility to select proper and strong luggage/bag/box for the transportation. You acknowledge that SimplyParcel is not able to file a damage claim only for damaged packaging materials (luggage/bag/box).
  • Fragile items including any breakable or temperature-sensitive items;
  • Glassware including, but not limited to, signs, mirrors, ceramics, porcelains, China, crystal, glass, framed glass, and any other commodity with similarly fragile qualities;
  • Electronics including, but not limited to, laptops, cameras, personal computers, stereo equipment, personal audio devices, cell phones, TV;
  • Antiques, collector’s items, precious metals and gems, works of art, precious jewellery;
  • Any prohibited items listed in our terms and conditions, or any prohibited items prohibited or restricted by local, country, international law or regulation;
  • Shipment delay including but not limited to customs delay;
  • Any loss or damage after package has been signed for and accepted at the wrong or incomplete delivery address provided by you
  • Any loss or damage after package has been delivered without a signature request
  • Any loss or damage before the carrier pick up the shipment, or before the carrier accepted the drop off package.
  • You failed to adhere to the terms and conditions set out in these conditions

LOST/DAMAGE CLAIM PROCESS

Any item that is listed in our Prohibited and non-insurable Items List will be exempted from any claim against damage and loss. Please check our Prohibited Items List for more information. All claims must be filed to us within 3 calendar days of the actual delivery date.

  • Police report may be required for lost package;
  • Tracking number;
  • Photo of the package/parcel at all possible sides (Before Shipment);
  • Photo of the individual items (Before Shipment);
  • Photo of the damaged package/parcel at all possible sides (After Shipment);
  • Photo of the broken/damaged items;
  • Packing list – List all the items, quantity, value of each item, and duration of possession of each item for personal effect & household effect;
  • All documentation related to the proof of value (copy of original invoice from vendor or supplier, copy of retail invoice or receipt, final confirmation screen if online order with proof of payment)

It is important to take photos of the parcels and items before shipment and prepare the packing list. In the event of lost or damaged items, the shipping carrier and/or Insurance company will need all these documents to review the claim. Without which, the shipping carrier and/or Insurance company reserve the right to reject the claims, if applicable.

Keep the merchandise and all original packaging, including cartons and contents, until the claim resolution process is finished. It may be necessary to make the packaging available for the carrier’s inspection

SimplyParcel assists to collect all claim documents from you and submit the claim on behalf of you. In no event shall SimplyParcel be responsible for the claim result. The carrier or insurance company will investigate and decide the claim result and compensation amount per their insurance policy and inspection. The claim investigation will usually take 15-30 business days. Once the decision is made, it will be the final decision and settlement for the claim.

ACTS OF GOD

SimplyParcel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, government action, fire, flood, or other natural disaster.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of SimplyParcel and is protected by intellectual property laws.

CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

You agree not to disclose any confidential information about our services, including but not limited to shipping rates and procedures. You agree not to use any confidential information about our services for any purpose other than using our services.

PRIVACY POLICY

Our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement, governs the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information. By using our services, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.

LIABILITY INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold SimplyParcel and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of our services or violation of this Agreement.

SEPARABILITY CLAUSE

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall be enforced to the fullest extent possible, and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

LIABILITY INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold SimplyParcel and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of our services or violation of this Agreement.

LIABILITY LIMITATION

In no event shall SimplyParcel be liable for any damages whatsoever resulting from the statements or conduct of any third-party or the interruption, suspension, or termination of the Services, whether such interruption, suspension, or termination was justified or not, negligent or intentional, inadvertent or advertent.

DISCLAIMERS

The Services and all materials and content available through the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. SimplyParcel makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Services, or the information, content, materials, or products included or referenced therein. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, SimplyParcel disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

Any legal action or proceeding arising under or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Singapore, and you hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
