Why Every Shipper Must Know the De Minimis Threshold

Why Every Shipper Must Know the De Minimis Threshold

Sending packages internationally? The de minimis threshold is your best friend—or your worst enemy if ignored.

What Is De Minimis?

It’s the minimum value under which imported goods enter a country duty-free and tax-free. Ship below this limit, and you avoid extra fees. Ship above it, and you’ll face unexpected charges, delays, or even seized packages.

*Exceptions Apply – Alcohol, tobacco, and luxury goods often don’t qualify for exemptions.

President Donald Trump has imposed a  10% across-the-board tariff on all imports from Singapore as part of his new trade policy.

How will this affect you?
